The following stories are written by some of Dr. John's patients and highlight some of the conditions they have received help with through BodyTalk!
Skin Condition
I am a massage therapist. I joined the Chandler Chamber of Commerce in June of 2008. In my leads group I met Dr. John Schellenberg.
My coming in to see Dr. John took a funny turn. The leader of our leads group, Pam Parkinson-Mackey suggested I go in to see him. At first I was hesitant, but she followed up on me three times. Boy am I glad she did! I had a skin condition on my right hand that was flaky and rough. Every day I had to loofa it and scrape it raw so my clients would not feel a rough hand while I was massaging them. I was embarrassed to introduce myself to anyone. For that matter to put out my right hand and receive change at the supermarket. I had tried a 21 day fast as I am a yogi. I did a 5 month no carbohydrate diet in an effort to rid myself of this condition. I tried every topical and every internal treatment I could find to do. Finally I gave up. I just didn’t know what to do. I have been a healer for 20 years. I couldn’t change the condition of my hand myself. This was quite humbling indeed.
So at Pam’s firm follow up with me, I attended Dr. John’s free introductory class. He does them 2 or 3 times a month. After his class I got a chance to schedule an initial visit with him for $99 instead of the normal $149. This is just for the first visit. He will interview you and just love you and you will feel comfortable and safe. That can be difficult when going for treatment anywhere – trust me, I know.
Any other session you go to with him will be $105. Anyway, I went ahead and scheduled a session. It was out of my budget, but something told me to do it anyway. So I did. I was instructed to lie down on my back on his healing table – and just relax.
He knew things about me he could not have possibly known. I felt things releasing in different parts of my body. I went through a series of emotions that were profound.
At the end of my session he said I would never have to come back to him for this problem again. He said in 7 days this condition would be gone forever. When I heard this I was shocked, told Dr. John that my hand already felt very different right after the session.
It has been 3-1/2 weeks since my session with him when I am writing this.
After 7 days my hand cleared up miraculously. The point of my testimonial for Dr. John’s work is that my whole life changes. Not just my hand clearing up. Most of us have seen “The Secret” There was a man who suffered massive abuse. His mentor told him to focus on something else. When he did that, all his hecklers and abusers left him alone. Especially at his work – they just got transferred out of the department.
Well folks, I have been transferred out permanently from my old life of un-love and unworthiness. People treat me with love. I attract different things. This has never been the case with me. The truth is when you have repressed subconscious old memories inside of you they can and will affect you the rest of your life unless you release them.
I have so much more energy and vitality. When I do my yoga I can move more freely and I feel the true joy of living. I breathe easier. I was driven to becoming a breathing master. This was just so I could function normally. Dr. John has freed me from my life long suffering!
The biggest thing I can tell you is right before my session I was in tears and I told Dr. John I have given up. I can’t fight this condition which I had for 30 years or more. The Doctor looked at me and said, “Maybe that is what needs to happen – just stop fighting.”
I could tell you so much more. I am an active advocate of his work. I tell people about him daily. I have sent one person to him and have a list of people who will see him.
Finally, if you are suffering with any chronic problems that you are tired of, he will tell you the safest and most natural way to heal is to let your BodyTalk. Then Dr. John can listen to your BodyTalk and help you release a lifetime of garbage you simply don’t need.
I write this with love of Dr. John

Autism
The following is a series of emails from the mother of an Autistic girl living in Phoenix by the name of Dorrie Foster who Dr. John has been doing Remote BodyTalk sessions with since mid January 2009. (Remote or distance sessions are where the patient does not actually come in to the office for their BodyTalk Sessions - they are done by "remote" or over "distance")

Dr. John,
We brought Dorrie to you more than a year ago for chiropractic care and the timing was probably not right. Dorrie is now almost 8 years old with a diagnosis of autism. Can BodyTalk heal brain damage? I believe that my daughter suffered severe reactions to the vaccinations she had. She had 24 vaccinations by the time she turned 2, not to mention flu shots. Brain damage is very mysterious to me. Does your protocol have the power to heal a damaged brain...that never had the chance to fully develop?

Laura Foster

Hi John,
Thank you so much for this second session. I am keeping a journal that will hopefully assist you. I meant to write to you with some of the observations. After your first session, Dorrie allowed someone to put pigtails in her hair for the first time in years. She seemed calmer and happier (though she is a generally happy child). Her teacher wrote that on Friday she identified and pressed "m" and "p" - 2 out of 2 x's and said the word 3 when working with 3's. We did not get words at home. On Friday afternoon she threw a lot of dirt which is a behavior that comes and goes.
I will keep track of how this second session affects her. I am so thankful for your working with Dorrie! Thank you!
Best regards,
Laura

Hi John,
I had great news from the teacher yesterday. Dorrie is working with letters and identified 4 out of 6 in her name. However,
her teacher did not feel that this was a sudden gain, but she is showing a slow progression in her learning. On the other hand, this is the second week that she is acting more hyper. A lot of hitting walls, kicking holes in doors (at home), throwing things at windows. Her teacher has noticed this increase in 'hyper activity' but hasn't mentioned anything destructive in class.
Sorry I don't have more to report. I've had the respiratory virus for the past few days.
I just remembered how affectionate Dorrie was last night. Even in her sleep she held my hand firmly. It was quite awesome!!! :)
Again thank you for all of your help on Dorrie's behalf.
Best regards,
Laura

Hi John,
I've been meaning to email you all week. We've seen gains and regressions this week. Dorrie's teacher said that her aggression level is more like she was in August & September before we started using resparadil (sp?). I am concerned about that. On the other hand, we are getting more words. At school she said, 'don't tickle me'. She has pottied on the toilet with assistance a couple of times this week. But she is slamming doors and experiencing what appears to be huge mood swings. She went for a day without a bm. She has peed through her diaper three times in the past week (which I consider a good sign).
Things are definitely shifting. Sometimes I can see my girl, her eyes are focused and it looks like she is thinking about what she is doing. But then the aggression takes her far away.

Hi John,
Today is an awesome day. We got a note from her teacher saying that she was happier and calmer today than all of last week. And we are seeing that now at home. So the shifting is going well today. And usually Dorrie is dealing with barimetric pressure during these storms. Though I wonder if it could have been building last week and that may have affected her. Anyway she is awesome today. A friend from high school who is a Speech Therapist/Audiologist came over today for the first time to work with Dorrie (for free, thank God!) She is going to set up a pecs system and some other great things. I'll keep you posted on that.
Today Dorrie put on her Halloween costume (a princess dress & tiara....beautiful) and showed it to Peggy, my friend. She was friendly and gave Peggy good eye contact when she wanted to. She also was willing to step on wet pavement for the first time in years. When she got off the bus, Veronica volunteered to carry Dorrie but Dorrie opted to step over the stream of water and on to the wet sidewalk. Another big change. That has been the only realy OCD behavior I've seen in Dorrie and she maybe losing it.
I'll try to write more this week.
Best regards,
Laura

Hi John,
Dorrie is having an awesome week. She is sleeping more. The last three nights she has gone to sleep by 7:30pm (usually 8) and she hasn't wanted to wake up until after 7am (usually 6). She has been calm, relaxed, happy and a delight. She is using sounds very effectively and we are hearing words. Very little in the way of poops, but her tummy is not distended, no pain, no gas, so I'm thinking this is part of the shift she is making. And just now, she did poop...IN THE TOILET!!! So we are celebrating!
I'm so pleased and hopeful with her progress. Thank you so much! I'm going to try to be at your talk on Feb. 26.
Best wishes,
Laura

Thank you so much, John! She is very happy today! She was exposed to a flu last weekend and had a fever all of Wednesday night and all day Thursday (yesterday). We kept her home (of course), gave her a cool bath, children's tylenol (which I never use, but seemed better than ER). She's much better today. Her fever broke in the night and she'll get to school today in time for the Valentine's party. She said "water" (2xs on Wednesday night and again on Thursday morning when she was thirsty for water. I am thrilled with the words that are coming. And so is she!!! I'll keep you updated.
Have a lovely weekend!

Hi John,
We have had an amazing week. And I am confident in saying that I give you and Body Talk all of the credit. Dorrie has been calm. Very few, if any, meltdowns and always able to calm herself over time. Reports from school have been glowing. Thursday was a tough day at school for all of the kids in Dorrie's class except Dorrie. Teacher, Lynn Davis, did not understand why the kids were crying and screaming but she said that Dorrie remained calm and happy all day.
Dorrie played with our year old dog, danced with Mya (2), petted another one of our dogs and petted a puppy that we visited. She said 'walk', 'Dorrie', 'candy, I want more', and 'happy, happy, happy' (which she was saying probably a year ago and then stopped). That is what we have heard at home. I am not sure if there have been more words at school. The teacher said that Dorrie is doing a lot of vocalizing and there are times when she feels that she is carrying on a conversation but can't decipher what is being said.
I am so pleased with Dorrie's progress. I am still cautious because we have moved forward and then backward before. But I know that we have never gotten as far as we are now. Everyone is noticing the changes in Dorrie. Still cautious because Dorrie says words but does not use them again. It's all in there and from all the signs - we are getting closer and closer!!!!
Again, Bless you and yours, Dr. John Schellenberg!

Hi John,
The vaccination fear is indeed very interesting. Dorrie must have known what was going to happen during those awful vaccinations. She actually pulled the needle out of her arm when they were giving her the (I believe it was anyway) MMR. It brings up nightmarish memories for me too. Because I helped them give it to her. It was always me not hearing the inner voice that other parents were wise enough to hear and act on. Now that we know of this fear can she release it?
Last week she was acting uncomfortable at school. She was hitting things, and more active. But the teacher always said that she was continuing to verbalize...or actually vocalize would be more appropriate. But the teacher feels that she is being very conversational. At home, we got some words/phrases. Veronica heard her say in a hushed voice "I don't need to go to the bathroom". And at home, she was pretty calm, maybe a little frustrated at times. But still Dorrie's behavior is much improved.
This week Dorrie is doing exceptionally well. She is coloring, using the scissors, and saying "no", "me too". She laughs at appropriate times when someone says something funny even though she will be acting like she's not paying attention. We went to Dorrie's school on Tuesday evening for a celebration of Dr. Seuss. She was the only child from her class to attend so we had the full attention of her teacher, her favorite aid, a care provider who came with us, her brother, Veronica and me. She was in heaven. She was so good. She sat and listened while three Seuss stories were read. She flipped pages in a book and looked through it. She colored and cut a Cat in the Hat. And the most amazing part is that the next day, she took another aid who hadn't been there the night before to the library and said "night....night" to her.
We did get the brochures and thank you! I am going to have more friends interested in coming to hear your talk.
Thank you so much for all of the great things you are doing for Dorrie and the hope you are bringing to all of us!

Hi John
Dorrie has been coming up with more words and it appears that she is more able to use some like 'happy' upon will. Others come out when she is distressed. But every word is such a welcome gift!!! We had Dorrie's 8th birthday party on Saturday. This was the first 'real' party I've tried to give since her second birthday. It was wonderful, she was so happy. She stayed in the areas with people. She was not overwhelmed and she understood that this was her special day. The people who came are her care givers and family friends who have stood by us over these past few years. Dorrie greeted many of them. Yesterday, Sunday, Dorrie said "Come on" when she wanted to leave. She said 'happy' when I asked her if she was happy. She said several sentences that were inaudible except for words like "Mom" or "Ken".
Very good stuff!!! I enjoyed my session with you!
Best regards,
Laura

Hi John,
Dorrie is doing sooooo well. I asked her this morning if she was happy and she said in a loud whisper "happy". She is so present. It is awesome!!!
As for me, I've gotten a couple of 'hits' of very positive energy and as of Monday I seem to be releasing lots of water weight. I just realized this morning that it is a pattern and very unusual for me. So I believe that this is a very good sign!
Best regards,
Laura
Back Pain/Headache

Flu-Headache
Dr. John opened his email late one night and read the following email....
Hi Dr. John
I am sitting in New York with the plan of catching a plane in the morning for Key West - then it is on to a cruise in the Bahamas.
My kid works as a nursery school teacher. She sent home three kids today who were vomiting. She came back to the apartment with a headache. I have tried Reiki, the Aka Dua energy system, lavender essential oil, a blend of conifer oils, airborne and some echinacea with two others herbs. She has a headache and rosy red cheeks. The timing of this flu is not good.
If you could work in a session ASAP I would appreciate it. We are flying at 10:30 A.M. from New Jersey. If it works for you would you give us a call and see what shape she is in?
Thank you
Nancy Alcorn (California)
He immediately did a distance session - the next morning was Nancy's response.....
Oh My God!!! You de man. You de man!! Thank you so much!! She graduated from Hunter Magna Cum Laude and I am taking her to the Bahamas - You just saved her graduation celebration!
Bill me darlin. I am good for it.
With gratitude,
Nancy
